PUPPIES
Yes, upon occasion we have puppies. But, sadly, our next litter is scheduled for 2012.
When we do have puppies, we are looking for serious homes that understand that we don't breed big, black rugs. We produce dogs that are part of the family and love to be on the go.
If you're wanting more
information on Newfs, we'd like to suggest that you contact
the Newfoundland
Club of America's Breeder's List or the Newfoundland
Club of America's Puppies Page.
Some of our other friends
do breed Newfs and they can be found on the "Our
Friends" page
RETIRED WORKING
DOGS
I'm sorry. From time to time we do have retired dogs but we don't rehome our beloved retirees. We do realize
that many breeders and working dog people do this, but it is not our habit.
Often, our prime time working dogs retire to jobs with less impact on their bodies, such as the READ programs at the local libararies or they take up competive events such as Tracking. But, whey they say, they're done with all of that, we listen and they become full-time couch companions.
It is our strong
feeling that after working with a
dog for 10+ years that our retirees' needs
would best be met at our home and it would an injustice
to
move them into a strange home after many years
of loyal service. |
